Brian James Shanley

BRIAN JAMES SHANLEY is a Minneapolis, MN, USA based Christian author, minister, speaker, debater, and internationally recognized scholar in the fields of theology, philosophy, apologetics, polemics, cults / the occult, comparative religions, Church history, political science, and Islamic studies. He has an Associate’s Degree in Biblical Studies, and a Bachelor of Divinity in Philosophy (Summa Cum Laude). He was awarded the Doctor of Divinity (Honoris Causa) for outstanding research in the field of Islamic Studies, based on ground-breaking discoveries in the writings of Elijah Muhammad as they relate to the Black Muslim Movement in America, also known as the Nation of Islam. He has earned University credits towards unfinished degree programs in both Pre-Law and Business Administration (with an emphasis on Accounting). Shanley is the Founder and Pastor of Sovereign Grace Missionary Baptist Church (SGMBC). In 2016, Shanley was a Republican candidate for the Presidency of the United States of America. In 2022, Shanley was a Constitution Party candidate for Governor of the State of Minnesota. He serves as Professor Emeritus of Theology and Philosophy at Cannon University in Los Angeles, CA. Shanley was the direct student of Dr. Robert A. Morey (who himself was the direct student of Dr. Walter R. Martin), and was his assistant at Faith Defenders out of Orange, CA. In the same way that Paul made tents for a living (ACTS 18:1-3), Shanley is a precious metals broker by trade. He is a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA), the John Birch Society (JBS), the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), and the Society of Christian Philosophers (SCP).
