Brian began his law enforcement career in 2001 as a Police Patrol Officer and progressed through the ranks of Detective, Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Captain. While building his career, he remained focused on education and leadership development. As a councilman, he contributes to city operations by overseeing budgets, evaluating public contracts, and promoting community involvement in local decision-making. Brian's assignments in law enforcement include investigative work in Homicide and Property Crimes, followed by service as Internal Affairs Commander from 2016 to 2018. He also led the Training Academy, managing leadership programs and mentoring officers preparing for supervisory roles. He teaches criminal justice and management as an Adjunct Professor at several Texas universities, contributing to the academic development of future public safety professionals. Brian served as Commander of the San Antonio Airport Police Department, directing safety and security operations for nearly 10.7 million passengers annually and coordinating efforts with various agencies. As patrol Operations Commander, he oversees responses to significant incidents and leads initiatives to ensure adequate field operations and community trust. Brian lives in Garden Ridge with his wife and four children and actively supports youth development through coaching and church service. His dedication to public service has earned recognition, including a nomination to the Presidential Commission on Law Enforcement.
