I used all my own advice and picked up a small project for a local museum that led to getting a great part-time job at another museum about five months after I first started looking. At the museum, I continued to expand my skills, picked up more projects from other museums, and volunteered at a variety of organizations. Recently, I jumped to another great job in state government. Here, I keep learning, volunteering, pick up freelance projects on the side, taking online college classes, and updating this blog.
