Mike Curb

Mike Curb is the former Acting Governor and Lieutenant Governor of California, a GRAMMY award-winning record producer, Billboard’s Producer of the Year, BMI multi-award-winning songwriter, and a championship motorsports owner. As the founder and chairman of Curb Records, he has been a guiding force in American music, business, and public life for more than six decades, earning recognition for his creativity, leadership, and commitment to service. He leads the independent record label he established over 60 years ago, which remains the oldest independently distributed record company in the United States. His work reflects both artistic success and dedication to community advancement. Through his company, he developed and produced many artists, achieving numerous #1 hits including “Candy Man,” “Puppy Love,” “Love Me For A Reason,” “All For The Love Of Sunshine,” and “How Do I Live.” He also composed and produced music for films such as The Wild Angels and Kelly’s Heroes. He also created well-known themes for television and commercials that became part of American entertainment. His label accomplished major milestones with recordings like “You Light Up My Life,” “Oh What A Night,” and “More Than A Memory.” It also became a leader in contemporary Christian music, producing GRAMMY and Dove Award-winning projects that reached broad audiences.
