So at least the future may not be grim for this park. Sad Fantasy Island wasn’t so fortunate. level 2 Yeah Indiana Beach only lost like a kiddie ride and a few arcade machines level 1 Hopefully they can save the silver comet. Fantasy Island, unfortunately, did not get so lucky. level 1 Really a shame, this was a quirky park with a fantasy-like front section and more serious rides near the back. Silver Comet was a very underrated wood coaster and I hope it gets relocated. Fun Spot's Atlanta location has a lot of open space and I'm pretty certain they want to add rides- maybe a deal can be worked out for this. Driving along I saw the wooden coaster and wanted to stop but unfortunately we didn't have time. I figured I'd stop next time I was in the area. Not anymore. level 2 Exactly the same for me. Drove by wife said we could stop on the way home, ran out of time. level 1 I live right nearby. I live closer to Marineland though, so I usually end up driving to CW or Darien level 1 Well, that's the end of that... I had a bit of hope between the town supervisor saying he was working with Apex to have the park sold and only a couple of rides coming down at first, but there's not much to build off of now. The land will probably be sold to a housing development of sorts seeing that houses pretty much line the southern perimeter of the park. level 1 as a kid who used to go there all day he time every summer this is sad as hell to see.
