Shafaat Pirani

Dr. Shafaat Pirani is a board-certified Geriatric Pharmacist who also holds a Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Specialist certification from the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) and a teaching certification from the University of South Florida. He continues to contribute to the field of pharmacy through courtesy faculty appointments with the University of Florida College of Pharmacy and the University of South Florida Taneja College of Pharmacy, supporting student education and mentorship. Shafaat Bahram Pirani has been recognized as a leader in the profession through his induction into Phi Lambda Sigma (PLS), the national pharmacy leadership society. In addition, Dr. Pirani is an active member of APhA, NCPA, NASP, NCPDP, and the Florida Pharmacists Association (FPA). His affiliations with these professional organizations demonstrate his deep commitment to advancing pharmacy practice, patient care, and sustainable healthcare systems that serve diverse communities. Beyond his clinical expertise, Dr. Pirani is an innovator with a Provisional Patent for “Method and Apparatus for Prescription Delivery,” a digital platform aimed at improving access, adherence, and transparency in medication management. His experience spans pharmacy leadership, pharmaceutical supply chain operations, hub and mail order pharmacy, digital health strategies, telemedicine, clinical workflow design, and regulatory compliance, making him a versatile and influential leader in healthcare. As Chief Clinical Officer of Wellgistics Health (NASDAQ: WGRX), Dr. Pirani leads efforts to develop digital prescription routing and AI-powered fulfillment solutions for independent pharmacies. His work focuses on advancing interoperable health technology that improves prescription access while strengthening pharmacy networks. He has played a key role in the company’s growth and transition into a publicly traded organization, driving innovation in pharmaceutical distribution. Previously, Dr. Pirani served as Chief Clinical and Regulatory Compliance Officer at Bonum Health and TRxADE Health (NASDAQ: MEDS), where he focused on creating compliant digital health platforms to promote sustainable pharmacy programs. His leadership emphasized improving patient outcomes while scaling growth across B2B2C models, ensuring both compliance and accessibility for patients and providers in a changing healthcare landscape. His career includes leadership at Alliance Pharma Solutions (DelivMeds) and operational roles in mail order pharmacy, where he expanded services nationwide and helped secure reaccreditation under VIPPS and URAC. In addition to his academic preceptorship at BRIDGE Healthcare Clinic and Florida universities, Shafaat Pirani is active in philanthropy, supporting community initiatives and contributing to the University of South Florida College of Pharmacy.
