Around the world on "Smoke Boats" during the Cold War with ventures into some Hot Spots. The Silent Service is just that. Not much to speak of when you dwell unseen in the deep. From time to time, I just might surface enough to tell a tale or some of the goings-on of a hundred or so souls locked in a pipe full of explosive ordinance. (Names, facts, and places could be changed to protect the not-so-innocent, aka--Sea Stories!). I started life as a farm kid and eventually owned some ground here and there. I have been stung and bit by things small and large, flying, sliding, crawling, bucking, and more. Much more! Been hungry and homeless, poor, and flush. Have stories to share, questions to ask, and many to answer to and for. I am a proud American Patriot but am much prouder of my progeny. Do I have regrets? Boy Howdy! Let us explore this journey together with some prose and photos. We will start with where I am, untethered and fenceless; a small village in the northeast of Thailand in an area known as Isan, which is spelled so many ways it becomes scrambled noodles and can give a body draim bramage.~kw
