Managing Partner of KEA Capital Partners
(He/Him) · Auckland, New Zealand
—

Teddy Teece is the Managing Partner of Kea Capital Partners (KCP), an investment firm that links international capital with New Zealand’s light industrial sector. His career includes work in entrepreneurship, investing, philanthropy, finance, technology, executive coaching, and real estate. Across these fields, he has focused on combining business goals with purpose, environmental responsibility, and solutions for overlooked market needs. Teddy's connection to New Zealand reaches back five generations, while his early life across two hemispheres and different coasts helped shape a broad international outlook. He works with long-term and lifestyle-oriented investors who seek financial returns while also forming stronger connections with New Zealand and contributing to its economy, environment, and infrastructure. As Founder and Managing Partner of KCP, Teddy leads acquisition efforts across the “golden triangle,” with attention to light industrial sectors. The firm focuses on acquiring, growing, and consolidating established businesses that support the country’s infrastructure. During his first year in an Executive MBA program, he developed the firm’s business plan and investment thesis, built advisory relationships, and tested the strategy. Its model combines private equity and search fund methods with local partnerships, community events, and philanthropic opportunities. Before this role, Teddy served as Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of an investment bank that achieved rapid early growth and processed eight- and nine-figure transactions. He also co-founded a marketplace for unique experiences and developed partnerships with established providers. Later, he co-founded a family-business advisory practice within a global consulting firm, supporting business families, executives, and next-generation leaders across the United States, the Middle East, and New Zealand. Teddy also developed a non-profit and executive coaching center, built several property features himself, and led teams as a general contractor. Since 2017, he has supported Navy SEAL families through a foundation where he serves in an advisory role. He has also helped raise six- and seven-figure sums for charitable causes. Teddy Teece is an Executive MBA candidate at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. He continues working with a New Zealand-based team, supporting charitable organizations, working the land, writing, drumming, and adventuring while maintaining a long-term focus on service, stewardship, partnerships, businesses, and communities.
